Can I use a map I find online?
Only if the quality and resolution is high enough. The reason is the online maps as in Mapquest, Google maps, Yahoo maps etc. are low resolutions so they load fast for you to view on a monitor. Higher resolution maps take more memory and can cause the search engines to run slower, or scrolling to lag on slower machines.

A wedding place will normally have detailed printable map drawn for them so they could hand out or have available to down load from thier website.

To answer the question about how to get a printable map is one would need to be created. If you need to create your own wedding map here is our suggestion on "How to make a wedding map."

1st:
You are going to need to create a map that is twice the size as you are going to need so when it is reduced it will sharpen the image. The size map to create is 9 x 6 and when reduce 50% to 4 1/2 x 3 to fit perfectly on a 4 7/8" x 3 1/2" map card.
Go to Google maps or if you have access to a photo copier you can photo copy a map to trace.
Print out a landscape map (typically you will need to print two out and tape them together to have it large enough map to work with.
2nd:
Draw a 9 x 6 dark rule around the area you want for your map.
3rd:
Place a white sheet of paper over the map.
Trace the roads in pencil
Print block letters for the names of the roads
With a Black ultra fine point black marker trace the pencil roads
4th
Now you have a map that is ready to scan.
Scan the map at 300 dpi
5th:
Email us your map
